Correct. There were two different pressings of Introducing The Beatles with slightly different track listings. I believe the second pressings included "Misery" and "There's A Place" and omitted two tracks found on first pressings.
I have a counterfeit second pressing of Introducing The Beatles in poor condition and it includes "Misery" and "There's A Place" in favor of "Please Please Me" and "P.S I Love You", I think. First pressings of Introducing... do not have "Misery" or "There's A Place" but do have "Please Please Me" and "P.S. I Love You" for example, I believe.
Capitol.could not leave well eough alone!
ReplyDeleteExcellent video. Looking at the chart, does this mean that 'Misery' and 'There's a place' were never released in the US originally?
ReplyDeleteHe didn't include the Rarities album from 1980 which include those tracks.
DeleteThey were also included on the Introducing The Beatles album by Vee-Jay records in 1964.
